Tropisms
Produced in the tips of shoots and roots.
In shoots: Auxin makes cells grow more (elongate) on the shady side, bending the shoot to light.
In roots: Auxin inhibits growth on the lower side, causing the root to bend downwards.
Auxin has opposite effects in the shoot (stimulates) compared to the root (inhibits).
