Question 3

Which answer best completes the statement? FSH causes an egg to ____ in the ovary

Question 4

Thermoregulation

If too high: Blood vessels dilate (vasodilation) and sweat is produced from sweat glands.

If too low: Blood vessels constrict (vasoconstriction) and muscles shiver.

Sweat cools the body through evaporation of water from the skin.

Shivering requires respiration, which releases heat energy.

Exam Tip

Note that blood vessels do NOT "move" to the surface; they dilate or constrict to change blood flow.
